The company SP Light and Design registers the Valenti trademark ®

Milan, 2 May 2022- SP LIGHT – SP Light and Design S.r.l. announces that on this date sp Light has completed the registration of the VALENTI brand, specialized in lighting.

Luciano Lesina CEO of SP LIGHT commented: “I am happy to announce that we have decided to register the VALENTI brand®. The Valenti company was one of the companies that made the history of Italian design in the field of lighting. Valenti has marked and accompanied the working history of our family, marking its successes. Our desire is to recover this historic brand to bring it back to light.”

The registration of the trademark will allow SP Light to reproduce many of the lighting products of the Valenti archive. Valenti, a historic lighting company, was founded in 1929.

The contact with the most important designers of the time and with experimental processes has contributed to building that climate of cultural tension that led valenti in the 60s to become a protagonist of Made in Italy in the lighting sector.

Under the guidance of Renzo Pighi and his brother, design cornerstones such as the Medusa, Pistillo and Hebi lamps follow one another. In a moment of extraordinary ferment for the young generation of designers, from Olaf von Bohr to the Tetrarch studio to Isao Hosoe.

Subsequently, Valenti explores new forms of lighting: the Valentina table lamp and the Miriade cable system are born. These are important results for the company, which sees the collaboration with internationally renowned designers such as De Pas, D’Urbino, Lomazzi, Raimondi and Bonetto awarded several times with mentions at the Compasso d’Oro. New materials and increasingly refined processes distinguish the industrial phase of the early 2000s, which sees the collaboration with the designers: Borsato, Palmeri, Barbaglia, Maccarini as the protagonist.
